The effect is separated into form, energy, particles, reflected light, contact light, and environmental response. Building these layers independently allows the final composite to be tuned as one believable shot.
The imagined sequence holds before the event, accelerates through the split, then allows the environment to settle. That contrast gives scale to the effect without relying on constant spectacle.
